Website setup (week 2)

What we did:

This week we began to set up out html files for our websites. We were able to log into our server space hosted by the univeristy through cPanel.

My reflection:

This week I created my Phoenix code document and began to code my website.
I had very little HTML knowledge before this so did some courses online to refresh my memory of the basics. In my undergraduate degree I had used WordPress and other similar web building sites, so I understood how they looked/the naviagtion elements of a website, but had never built one from scratch in HTML.
I enjoyed setting up my website as I found it rewarding to see it come together, starting from nothing.

I had never had to use anything such as CPanel to host a site before or a FTP client.
However, once I had tried to upload my file to CPanel and then Filezilla, I understood the process and why these are used and was able to do this on my own when I needed to update my files on the server.
